When I see the 👎❗️ on my friend's post about their new job it feels like a heavy cloud over their excitement like someone just told them the coffee is cold and the meeting starts in five minutes

In some cultures the 👎❗️ isn't just disapproval it's like a whole story of disappointment passed down through generations like your grandma waving her hand at you when you forget to bring dessert to the family dinner

On social media the 👎❗️ can be so brutal sometimes I've seen people get 20 of them on a single tweet and it feels like they're being publicly humiliated by a group chat that never sleeps

At work if your boss sends you a message with the 👎❗️ it's not just disapproval it's like they're saying you've failed the test and there's no going back until you fix this mess

In relationships the 👎❗️ can be the worst kind of silent treatment imagine your partner sending you that emoji after you forgot their birthday and then went to the movies with a friend instead
