A shrug that says, 'I don't care, but also I know something you don't.' It's laid-back, yet full of mystery. You'd use it when you want to be indifferent but still drop a hint that there's more going on beneath the surface.

It's like when you're in the middle of a deep conversation but you just can't figure out what they're really saying it feels like you're both playing a game and neither one is going to lose

In some cultures this emoji shows that someone is holding back information on purpose like they’re trying to keep things interesting without actually revealing everything at once

On social media people use it when they post something cryptic and then just shrug like they don’t know what it means but you all do and you're just pretending you don't either

At work if your boss says something confusing and then sends this emoji it's like they’re giving you a hint that things are going to change soon but they’re not telling you exactly how

In relationships it can be the perfect way to say I'm fine with whatever you're doing but don’t expect me to explain my thoughts if you don't ask first
